Yoga - Not Only Fitness

Over The last few decades, a offender has taken root in people's minds. There's a belief that Yoga, is all about exercise and fitness. An additional misconception is that Yogasanas (or even Asanas) are only body movements and poses which are complicated to perform however make the body hydrated.

Yes, postures or asana do make the body hydrated. Just Stretching and other types of body motions do. However, Yoga and yogasanas are so far more than just fitness tricks.

From the West, Somewhere around the 19th Century and 20th Century, Indians introduced Yoga to the folks that they too can benefit from it. It was a success, as expected. So as to make it more appealing to the general public, but there began a commercialization of yoga. Yoga went from having an art, to a coaching session.
This is something we need to Understand, is dangerous. Yoga isn't something which should be done with the ideas or intentions. It has consequences of its own.

Yoga is a method of life. It is not a ritual It is a habit that you makes a portion of life. The ultimate goal of Yoga is to attain liberation or Moksha. But yoga has a huge impact on our lives.

Five basic principles of Yoga

• Asana (postures)

• Shavasana (Relaxation)
• Sattvic (Proper Diet)

• Dhyana (Meditation)

It Is when these 5 basic principles are followed that one can call himself a practitioner of Yoga. When a person performs yoga, he surrenders himself and becomes one with the universal energy. It's a source of life and should not be treated.

Let us now look at some significant aspects of yoga.

Faculties of Yoga
In Hinduism, there are the kinds. Please be aware, here doesn't talk about bearings. Yoga is in fact a practice. It's a way of life as I mentioned earlier. These schools of yoga were thus, part of lifestyle.

1. Jnana Yoga
Jnana Means'knowledge' in Sanskrit. In the ancient times, when there was a system of'Gurukul' (students stayed with educators and gained knowledge), this was the initiation of the pupil into schooling and the realm of knowledge. Advice was comprised by the teachings about everything. This Jnana yoga became the basis for yogic knowledge and understanding.
2. Bhakti Yoga
Bhakti Or dedication, is an aspect of yoga. Through this form of yoga, you expressed love and devotion towards God. It doesn't refer to any symbolic God, only energy that is universal. The idea was to move the yogi, towards spiritual awakening.
3. Karma Yoga
Karma Means Duty in Sanskrit. Of the highest significance, the importance of doing ones duty or Karma, has been in the Hindu faith. All duties and disciplined activities had to be performed with fantastic reverence. It is supposedly the best way to progress in life.
4. Laya Yoga or Kundalini Yoga
It Is the kind of yoga performed by means of standard practice of meditation, pranayama, chanting mantra and yoga asana. It's known as the yoga of stirring. One becomes aware of the and conscious of oneself. It concentrates to others and healing of mind, the human body and soul.
5. Hatha Yoga
It is a system of Physical techniques supplementary to a wide conception of yoga. A belief is that Lord Shiva himself was the founder of Hatha Yoga.
This School of yoga is what deals with asana and bodily exercise or postures. Hatha yoga is more known as a physical exercise.
Benefits of Yoga
Yoga Has physical benefits, is something that's common knowledge. But the real power of yoga is observed on the psychological and other aspects of individual life by its advantages.
